He estado en Honduras durante 1 semana, sobre todo en zonas rurales de Honduras aprendiendo sobre luchas por los derechos indígenas de COPINH. Hoy, sin embargo estoy en la capital, Tegucigalpa, a donde COPINH ha enviado una delegación a unirse a una movimiento de protesta que se crece, se llama las “Antorchas”.

COPINH es el Consejo Cívico de Organizaciones Populares e Indígenas de Honduras – una organización indígena dedicada a la lucha por los derechos indígenas en el oeste del país. Honduras todavía tiene varios grupos indígenas, con sus propias comunidades y culturas, relacionados con el maya cuya ciudades impresionantes antiguas son iconos familiares de Mesoamérica.
